I think Aram's story is one of the sadder tales in the Wheel of Time series. I was always torn between thinking he was totally awesome and feeling pity for the loss of his innocent lifestyle. And then he never really leveled out or obtained redemption and had to die. This is a moment during "The Fires of Heaven" when Perrin is pulled from his horse and Aram slides in to save him.
